Protecting Our Rights as Patients.

Hi all .. this will be my first post on the forum so bare with me i'm by far no expert just a scared patient worried about losing what little i have good left in my life. With recent events in tucson and in the state we are beginning to see what looks like a crackdown on the laws that are said to protect us. How do we protect our rights.. what do we do if our rights our violated.. who polices the police and educates them.. i am starting to see holes that need to get filled here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dg.

AZCS has some really good videos on how to protect your rights on their site.
I have these in writing posted on my locked grow area :


I hereby invoke and refuse to waive all of the rights and privileges afforded to me by the US Constitution, including the following:
• I invoke and refuse to waive my Fifth Amendment right to remain silent. Do not ask me any questions.
• I invoke and refuse to waive my Sixth Amendment right to an attorney of my choice. Do not ask me any questions without my attorney present.
• I invoke and refuse to waive all privileges and rights pursuant to the case Miranda v. Arizona. Do not ask me any questions or make any comment to me about this decision.
• I invoke and refuse to waive my Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. I do not consent to any search or seizure of myself, my home, or of any property in my possession. Do not ask me about my ownership interest in any property. I do not consent to this contact with you. If I am not presently under arrest or under investigatory detention, please allow me to leave.

Absolutely !! If you don't know the police are not going to tell you. In fact they will abuse your rights. There are some good video's on AZCS site from ACLU. Everyone should watch them.

Stick with the format above and they will leave you alone and go to some easy pickin's that don't know their rights.

I would stick with the format above, and answer any question they ask with the response above. It really is the same as mexico here !! I spend alot of time in mexico, and the only real difference is in mexico a person can buy their way out alot cheaper !!

It is the same as mexico in that : when you stick to your rights, and insist on getting to police enforcement hierarchy they back off and find another victim.

When I first started going to mexico I was scared of the police. Now on the rare occassion I have to deal with them I ask them for the ticket, and cooperate as little as possible, being respectful, and do not offer any money. They get tired of me and go on to easy pickin's.

Thanks.. wise words..! They tell you here "it's a slap on the wrist" you believe that until u have to find a job.. Then you find out it was more like a slit.. and everything you gave up. Our lives are at stake!

15. "Usable marijuana" means the dried flowers of the marijuana plant, and any mixture or preparation thereof, but does not include the seeds, stalks and roots of the plant and does not include the weight of any non-marijuana ingredients combined with marijuana and prepared for consumption as food or drink.

if the worst case scenario occurs it is of utmost importance to retain a good attorney asap.if you wait around too long the attorney might not have sufficent time to prepare a winning defense for your case no matter how good he or she may be.i know most lawyers offer financing and payment plans
