About members credenials sent to admin
Permalink

Recently there has been a few busts going on in Tucson and a few folks in the community have expressed nervousness about the fact they sent on a copy of their card to Admin.

Be assured that at TMM (only this community) we do not store any information about any member.

This has been the policy of TMM since conception. Simply said; we verify that you are of legal age and legal with the state by viewing your card and matching it with your State ID..... then we purge your email immediatly & permanently! After the verification, you control your own profile.

TMM DOES NOT STORE NOR HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR CARD AFTER IT IS DELETED. PERIOD!

All members should know that TMM is the quickest news outlet on mmj in Tucson and it seems foolish to sever that news & information source because you may be concerned about this subject. There is no reason for concern.

This is not to say that other sites don't store your card..... BUT TMM doesn't.

The Hospitality Exchange non profit LLC is required to provide an annual  PCI Compliance Affidavit assuring any data the company collects is not stored nor shared...

the id's info is sent to admin email we look to see if ids match then delete the email.
i'm a member of several sites and they all do the same.
no one is required to send in that info only if you want access to the private areas.
i also meet patients to verify thier card so nothing is sent.
it's your call.

Everybody knows who operates this site! Have to have your eyes closed to not see it.

"The Hospitality Exchange non profit LLC is required to provide an annual PCI Compliance Affidavit assuring any data the company collects is not stored nor shared..."

Our credentials to receive, view and protect secure online information is certified.

And besides, just showing admin your card in person is good enough for the rest of the members. It accomplishes the same thing...

And that is what it is all about;

Assuring the other members that you are not 12 years old.

Assuring the other members that they are not breaking the law by associating with you...

Assuring YOU that the other member that you may be talking mmj with... is who they say they are.

Qualified Patients depend on admin to filter the members, make sure we do not have juveniles or non-qualified members within the private areas.

To find out more about TMM.Org call the number provided 520-407-6468. Or look up in Tucson City Business Licenses.  Or ask.

Not necessary to be a detective to detect we are aboveboard.... nor is there a need for concern.

Nothing original about this business model, we just copied the idea from several other very popular sites.

We are not using the free version of this software.

Been this way for years now... Never had a problem of any kind.

Who did you say you were, again??

I thought this was a great site to learn about local resources, but your requirements are scarey at best. While I want to join the private areas, I have serious questions about security. Not only do you want the MM card you want a drivers license. This is a wonderful opportunity for identity theft. While you may not be criminals other might find out and want to hack your site or break into your business to collect this info.

I have used other MM forums and they don't have such a requirement.

Sorry, but this doesn't pass the smell test for me.

I hope you respond and don't delete this, as it is worthy to explore the risks associated with giving anyone so much information.

You can say you will not use this info but what is preventing others from obtaining it?

As a website owner that has been hacked several times security is a big issue for me.

I see that you are using a free forum service, activeboards, how secure are they? Do you have any idea how secure they are?

Since you are using a subdomain for your website there are no public records of who owns this site in the whois database. Thus I have no way of knowing who I would be giving this info too.

These are litigate concerns. I hope that you respond.

Sometimes you make me laugh out loud, SL. This was one of those times.
