Four years ago TMM was founded on the simple concept of preparing, informing, and advising patients on the new medical marijuana laws being implemented in the state of Arizona.
As part of that preparation, TMM took shelter under a nonprofit corporation, The Hospitality Exchange LLC. At that time our Mission Statement was read into and adopted my the officers and became the foundation for the corporate bylaws.
Our mission of providing information and compassion to medical marijuana patients requires that the officers and operating members of the corporation be “not-for-profit” when dealing with TMM members.
Any officers or moderators have all agreed to not access the TMM membership for reasons of making a profit off the illnesses and misfortune of our friends. It was agreed a personal agenda would not trump the compassionate work being done here.
TMM IS AN OPEN COMMUNITY and we allow merchants, manufacturer's affilliates of products, dispensary and wellness centers etc... not associated with TMM staff to promote their products on the website... within reason.
HOWEVER, It cannot be construed that the corporate officers, operating members, or moderators are using the TMM platform to operate a for-profit business or promote a for-profit business of their own while using the TMM platform and membership.
Therefore, once in a while, during the past couple years, the officers or moderators have had to request merchants of for-profit entities to tone down or quell their efforts to market their products to the community members.
