WHAT THE 25 MILE RULE MEANS TO ME.
Hello my name is Bob (TucsonBob) I was born 1955. My road to useing mmj started in 1979 after 10 yrs of recreational use. Nov. 79 I ruptured 3 disc in my lower back had back op in 1980,81 spinal fussion 85 and again 95 with titanium cages put in place of the disc. Crushed left hip 19

88 broke right hip and tail bone 2001 and 2011. During my first spinal fussion I was given tainted blood products a contracted hep c thanks doc. 2003 dignosed with pancreatitis. 2010 dignosed with diveticulitis and stomach cancer. They removed 75% of my stomach after overlaping I have 20% left. All of these things cause severe pain and or nausea.
I am allergic to most pain medicines and refuse to take pharmacy poisons. Marijuana is my choice of medicines. Being on SSD I DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS to buy meds. My current usage is 4-5 grams a day. I spend $180-200 a month on my grow $280 july-sept. After I pay my bills I am left with less than $5 a day to feed my wife and myself.
If I am forced to buy my meds from a dispensary I can only afford 3-4 1/8s at $50-60 an 1/8. So I will only be able to medicate 3 days a month. THIS IS A DEATH SENTENCE.
NO 25 MILE RULE.

Excellent explanation Bob.  I am also a chronic pain patient (spinal, and several pounds of surgical steel throughout my body). Already suffering the effects of long term narcotic use.  Medical marijuana is the only natural and harmless solution I have found to make my quality of life bearable. I used marijuana recreationaly back in the 60's and 70's, then left it alone until several years ago, when I realized the destruction the narcotics my doctors were prescribing were slowly killing me.  I always assumed doctors were to be trusted with your health and longevity ???
Many of our patients are on a fixed or very limited income.  The recent opening of the first dispensary here in the Phoenix area is an example of the crippling effects of the 25 Mile Rule, if not abolished by amending the law.
Their menu offers 1/8th of a gram for $55 to $60 a gram. http://www.leafly.com/dispensary-inf...a-organix/menu
I don't know anyone who can afford or is willing to pay these outrageous prices.  This is exactly why monopolies are illegal, and why we must all fight the 25 Mile Rule.  If we all do not participate in demanding an amendment to the Prop 203 Law to abolish the 25 Mile Rule, we will all be held as slaves to the greedy dispensary conglomerate.

Hello, I want people to know that I stand for patients rights that even means I'm for dispensaries but not some of the rules. The dispensaries have unfair rules against them, we have the 25 mile rule, 2 1/2 ounces every 2 weeks, and the 12 plant limit these things need to change.
So to start we need the dispensaries but we need to all stand together now to change the 25 mile rule then we can work on the rest.

We discussed several options on how the attorney(s) will plan their attack on the 25 Mile Rule. 2 obvious grounds are it is unconstitutional for any law to create a business monopoly, profit or "non profit" (dispensaries are suppose to be non-profit, but as it applies their books must balance out at zero, each audit. So they pay HUGE salaries and bonuses to the CEO, CFO and trusted employees. I know several dispensary owners, all proudly boast they net well over $100,000 a month, owning several locations.

There also is an Arizona law that prevents our state government from dictating or instructing anyone where they must purchase their medicine.

The attorney strongly suggested that all patients and caregivers start keeping a dairy, or written records. It is very important and will be very valuable in any upcoming class action lawsuit for patients to demonstrate that the medicine and strains they were allowed to obtain from their caregiver prior to the 25 Mile Rule dictatorship were of the best quality and relieved your symptoms, and that you have been unsuccessful finding the same strain or the same quality in the dispensaries you have visited, thus you have "suffered" because of the 25 Mile Rule.

This is very important and something all patients can participate in. You do not need to name your caregiver by his/her real name, first name is acceptable. Caregivers always (or should be) protecting and respecting our patients privacy and confidentiality. Please start documenting your experiences, and your disappointments with any and every visit you make to a dispensary.

I stopped by the new dispensary in Glendale yesterday. they had 4 strains available, only about 1/4 ounce of one certain strain. All 4 I viewed where dry, crunchy and very few tricromes were visible. Leafly reviews for this dispensary are despicable.

Update, Keith Floyd of Floyd's-Farm Assist has retained an attorney. His law suit should be filed by the 15th of January. If you would like to help him you can either donate here http://www.facebook.com/FloydsFARMASSIST/app_18015191938?ref=ts

Or to Patient Advocate Group https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_donations&business=tucsonbob55%40yahoo.com&lc=US&item_name=Patient+Advocate+Group&currency_code=USD&bn=PP-DonationsBF%3Abtn_donateCC_LG.gif%3ANonHosted

This is not going to be cheap and effects all of us.

If you know of any other lawsuits let me know.

If anyone would like to start a class action suit let me know I'll help as much as I can.

Thank You All for your help. TucsonBob.

I know of an individual who retained Waltz. Not sure the patients name.
Testimonies are requested and being collected (not sure by whom) from patients and caregivers. Please keep a written records of your disappointing experiences with the dispensary(s) you have visited, and the quality comparison between the medicine you've been allowed to obtain from a caregiver previous to this 25 Mile Rule or were able to cultivate yourself. This has been suggested by an experienced MMJ attorney. It will be introduced as additional evidence in the class action suit being put together currently.
This is a simple and easy way everyone can participate.
