You don't need a caregiver for patient to patient meds. I have meds available now. If you are able to manage your own affairs you really don't need a caregiver.Patients are allowed to exchange meds with each other. Most cultivators are happy to receive a donation for the expenses related to growing, curing, and providing meds to other patients. Feel free to send me a PM if you need meds.

With our current Patient 2 Patient method, so far, we have not really had any demand for a 'provider' since the majority of us are growers we almost always have extra meds at discounted donation rates.
Matter of fact, 'The providers" (I like that tag) approach us constantly to obtain discounted meds so they can supply their patients at an increased rate.
We have an open forum here, so if you come across one of these "Providers" that you would like to post an article or something, feel free to do so... It may help a few of the members.
I personally advise cardholders AGAINST obtaining providers, or using "Patient Alliances". These are just ways that people seeking income use to create potential jobs for themselves. Growers, and patients can meet and to assist each other in compassionate ways without supporting people that have invented themselves a job at our expense. Patients, cultivators, educators, and advisers from this site, go freely to patients homes, to assist with meds, tools, grows, and more.... and the money saved by not involving outside "agencies" to help us get "providers" is always appreciated by our members...(who often comment about how pleased they are to have aborted the "providers" and agencies).
I personally am here to help patients NOT spend money they do not need to... and to discourage as many patients as possible from encouraging opportunists that see "gold in them thar hills" now that we have cards. Patients are not "fresh meat" for the harvesting of these opportunists who hide their income earning motives behind agencies disguised as compassion oriented.
I will warn growers NOT to join into any of the various "colorations" of the same exact thing: 1-growers coops or associations (and clearinghouses) 2-cooperative delivery services 3-Growers Clearing Houses 4-Compassion banks These are all translated to One person getting their foot in the door to control the meds of others.. often thinking that they can outsmart dispensary regulations etc. In the end, it is easy to allow a bit of extra income to trickle in with the rationaliztion "Hey.. but I am helping, and I do have expenses". There is no rationalization. Meds should not be "pooled" or placed under the control of anyone, but the person who grew it or already owns it. This is where patients can get meds. The above 4 "convenient situations" are what allow profiteers to get their foot in the door, with a seemingly compassionate gesture, that is easily switched over to business mode!

My wife and I are both cardholders - 21 years in Army left marks and some internal "vacancies." We started by going by Southwest Arizona Patient Alliance (SWAPA) and received the names and numbers of two providers. As it turned out they gave us back-up numbers in case they were out of town. I am under the impression there is a sort of internal "issue" at SWAPA but now CannaCare and Tumbleweeds are getting ready to set up dispensaries and all the other services.
I believe either CannaCare or Tumbleweeds can easily arrange a provider. The real beauty of the system is that the provider makes an appointment, comes to the house, sit around and chat (each one has been decent, "non-criminal", hard-working young people) ... and the prices get better and better as you maintain loyalty.
Just call one of the groups and they will help you out. Just remember, the card does not authorize DUI, public use, transfer to a non-card holder, etc, etc.
Good luck and good choice - in just four months my daily demand for vicoden, just to maintain some degree of mobility, has dropped from 60 mg/day to 30, and I don't walk around 'zoned out ... in fact, if not for the aroma in the house most wouldn't even know I smoke. BTW, now that Gov. Brewer has stopped her challenge, look for some dispensaries to pop up but my experience in other states (we have reciprocity with almost all other states) is you don't always get the best deal at the biggest shop! Hooahhh - daily pain level down to a "5."

You can get fresh, very high quality with variety in the P2P area.
At donations that I am sure are better.
Wecome, cat22! remember the above words of TMM Jay.
DO NOT TRUST CAREGIVERS/Coops WITH YOUR GROW RIGHTS.. even if they approach you here!
Avoid "Growers coops/coalitions and "clearinghouses"!

Hi - I'm brand new here - will be setting up an appointment with Dr. M. soon. I'm a woman in my 50's with chronic pain issues (and depression). Lucky for me I have pain, huh? I live NW of Tucson, about 25 miles from downtown.
It's uplifting - and reassuring - to find a community with members who are articulate, compassionate, genuine, and helpful. Seriously, folks - your warmth shines through.
I'm relieved I won't be reduced to using a caregiver or organization to get started. Having to spend $349 to get certified is doable, but means deferred car/house repairs.
It's unfortunate that the state feels the need to charge so much for certification. I think it the fee should be no more than $75 for anyone.
I shouldn't complain. Certification might not be available at any price.
Anyway...wanted to say hello, looking forward to getting certified and accessing private areas here. I also look forward to meeting people when there's another get together, because y'all are awesome. And I will be blessed and priviliged to pay it forward.
