Question about Pyrethrin use...

I have some small black dots (with wings) that are smaller than a pinhead, ruining leaf after leaf. They start by hiting healthy leaves, which start to look spotted/yellowed, and in a day or so, any leaf they get into dies. They leave behind dead leaves and $hit.

I don't know if these are Thrips or some type of Mite. Anyone have any idea? I'm in perlite/vermiculite with nutes, inside.

Using Fox Farm's "Don't Bug Me" seems to knock them back for a few days, but I'm a couple weeks from finishing flowering.

Does anyone know how long before harvest I should stop using this Pyrethrin based stuff? Though it's derived from the Pyracantha bush, I don't think I want to be ingesting it.
