Ah.  I had no idea it was that expensive.  In the dispensaries in Denver, it's around $175/ounce.  Is it all that expensive in Tucson?

Hi:  I'm new.  A year ago I had surgery for ovarian cancer, Stage1A, and according to my surgeon here in Texas, "dodged a bullet."  I may be okay, but I had four chemos, lost all my hair (it's grown back, beautiful, thick and curley!!), and now have degenerative osteoarthritis.  I'm in such pain I can't stand upright and have trouble walking.  Mj in any form is illegal in my state, so I had to contemplate where to move in order to obtain mmj legally, as I believe it is the best thing for me, both in terms of preventing further cancer problems, and in helping me get back to the point where I can walk.

I have all my medical paperwork in a notebook, and can leave in about a year when my lease runs out.  I've lived in Tucson before (I'm a musician) and am looking forward to coming back.

What I'm looking for, specifically, is cannabis oil.  If I'm approved, will that be available in the dispensaries?

Thank you!

Hello, At this time you would have to make your own oil, we have a rule here that says you can't grow your own if you live within 25 miles of a dispensary. This will make making the oil costly. We are trying to change this rule. Keep in touch, wish you well. We are here to help.

I wouldn't be growing my own; couldn't I make the oil from meds acquired legally through the dispensary?

Yes but at 400+ an ounce it would cost you close to 7,000 for 2 months of oil.

If we can get rid of this 25 mile rule you could get someone to grow your medicine for almost nothing.

If you move here and we are still fighting this rule find a place outside of the 25 mile zone and we can find a caregiver to grow for you.

Well, I won't be moving until a year from now, so perhaps the rule will change by then.

It doesn't really matter where I live, though, actually. I will consult with you when the time comes and determine where that should be. This is a matter of life or death; I am convinced that, should cancer reappear in my body, I am not going the surgery/chemo route, but use THC to treat. I have already been poisoned once by chemo; I do not think I would survive a second time.

It is completely ridiculous.  I wish I had never *stopped* smoking pot;  I grew up in Flagstaff and always smoked it, and always felt well.  I'm not going to get in the position of being imprisoned, but I am not going to die because of some stupid law, either.  Not if I can help it.

Thanks! I really hate to break my lease, and though I could move in January, the highways are too cold and icy for me to risk it. So it's probably going to be a year before I'll be out there.

Colorado is too cold, too expensive for a large house, and I can't see myself fighting the snow at night, going to and from gigs at night. Also not a doctoral program in my area.

I'll try to find the article.  I'm not a "bro," however;  not too many "bros" get ovarian cancer.....no

How do you use it? Drink it, smoke it, run it on your skin?

What's the advantage, then? Tommy Chong says he cured his cancer with it, but is there a real advantage over just regular weed?

ingesting cannabis is used more efficiently as it doesn't get you as high as smoking does more of a medicinal body high and it has been known to have healing properties against cancer cells and other diseases

concentrated form is really the only way to get all the medicine the most effect in order to make it work. you wouldnt be able to get the needed healing properties out of just the bud alone
