The Beating Heart of Humanity and the Mind Control Creeps

Fifty years ago when I first experienced Marijuana, a friend was doing research for the CIA and military. Without merit of my own or official participation I was allowed an overview of the project and taste or two of the Sandoz acid. LSD is like holding the beating heart of humanity in the palm of your hand. But I missed the debriefing.  A cover story justified the research. The spooks stayed in the background. They conducted studies at universities all over the US to determine if LSD and the other psychotropics could be used as a weapon of war to interrogate prisoners or for mind control of civilian populations. Thousands of students took part. I don’t know what they were told or what they were told to say but they haven’t said much. I hope they weren't eliminated. The research was terminated before it was finished. Psychotropics, LSD, Psilocybin. Peyote and Marijuana could not be used as weapons of war. Civilian populations exposed to psychotropics were inspired to express humanistic attitudes, advocate world peace and the brotherhood of man. It was like anti-matter to the CIA, a weapon of Peace that could destroy the greatest Superpower Military Treadmill the world has ever known. They stopped further research. War on Peace did not sound right so they called it the War on Drugs. All research with psychotropic agents was made illegal. Marijuana, though mild in its effect, was the most dangerous because of its ease of cultivation and habitual use. All record of the research program was destroyed. The Mind Control Creeps are still around, in deepest, darkest cover. Social media manipulates our thoughts and minds. They have all the power in the world but we are winning. I read the book.
